Picture 1 - The No 14 Bus, bound for Bellshill and Coatbridge, leaves the 'bus stop outside Mair's Shop at the east end of Haugh Place. The little hut just visible above the lady in black, was the pit pay office. The barn was part of Bothwellhaugh farm and the small grass area just opposite the 'bus stop, was the site of a wartime Anderson shelter. |
